The price difference is probably due to labor rather than just the parts. Some shops only replace the steering head bearings, while others include new seals, a full front-end disassembly, cleaning, greasing, and proper torque adjustment. I'd choose the mechanic with experience on BMW G650 models rather than simply the cheapest quote.
Do both quotes include OEM bearings, or is one using aftermarket parts? Also, did either shop mention replacing the seals at the same time?
